The Fred and Barbara Meiers discuss their involvement with Mexican folk art, reviewing the major artists they collected, the individualization of folk art that occurred in Mexico in the post-World War II era, and traditional crafts and festivals. They also discuss their involvement with the UCLA Museum of Cultural History and the Mingei International Museum of World Folk Art. In addition, they discuss their family backgrounds, early interests, art training, and the early years of their marriage.
